Perfect start for Cheveley Park sire Dutch Art

DUTCH ART made the perfect start as a stallion after his first runner, Miss Work Of Art, was a ready winner of the Premier Showfreight Yearling Bonus Scheme Maiden over 5f at Lingfield on Wednesday. The Richard Fahey-trained filly was bred by Newsells Park Stud and bought by Robin O'Ryan for £29,000 at the DBS Premier Yearling sale.

The winner also collected the first £10,000 Racing Post Yearling Bonus of the year. In addition, she became the first winner of Newsells Park'sGolden Bonus, collecting a further £10,000 for her owners Mel Roberts and Nicola Meese.

Miss Work Of Art is the first foal of the Pivotal mare Lacework, who won three races over 7f to 1m2f at two and three and is a sister to three winners including Scandinavian Listed winner Entangle.

Second-placed Launch On Line, owned by Paul Thorman of Trickledown Stud, was unsold at £20,000 at yesterday's Goffs breeze-up at Kempton.
