Newsells Park Stud purple patch continues

AFTER six of the seven offerings from Newsells Park Stud sold for six-figure sums on day one of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale, the Royston-based operation continued its run of success on the second day, consigning a 320,000gns Dalakhani half-brother to Chesham Stakes runner-up Seaway (240).

John Ferguson, bloodstock advisor to Seaway's owner Sheikh Mohammed, was the winning bidder after fending off a challenge from trainer Paul Cole.

The grey colt is out of Royal Academy's Sirenia Stakes-winning daughter Atlantic Destiny from the further family of Group 2 hero and champion sire Be My Guest.
