Montjeu filly among new  crop of Newsells foals

AMONG the 25 per cent of its foals deliveredup to  February at Newsells Park Stud is a daughter of the late supersire Montjeu, who is a half-sister to Group 1 Sun Chariot winner Spinning Queen.

Also on the ground is a Galileo filly out of Specifically, the dam of 1,000 Guineas winner Speciosa, and a half-brother, by Oasis Dream, to resident Newsells stallion Equiano.

The Group 1 winning sprinter's own foals include a filly out of Impressible, a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Reverence, the mare's first foal.

The stud's other stallion, Mount Nelson, whose first two-year-olds are out this season, is sire of a filly out of Waldblume, who hails from the family of Newsells-bred St Leger winner Masked Marvel.

Other Newsells mares to have foaled are: Shastye, a half-sister to Sagamix and Sagacity who has a colt by Galileo, while Lady Darshaan, the Group 1-placed half-sister to Total Gallery has produced her first foal. a colt by Street Cry.

Neartica, a Sadler's Wells half-sister to Goldikova, has a foal by Dalakhani, while Loveisallyouneed,a full-sister to Quarter Moon  and Yesterday, has a filly foal by Dansili.
