Newmarket studs open their gates

DARLEY'S Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket is opening its gates on Thursday to coincide with the Tattersalls February Sale.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view the stud's nine resident stallions, including Authorized, who returns to Dalham Hall after spending last year at Kildangan Stud inCounty Kildare, last season's champion first-season sire by number of individual winners, Dubawi, and this year's freshman sires Byron and Shirocco.

On the same day Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud in Cheveley near Newmarket is also making its eight stallions, including new recruit Champs Elysees and exciting young sire Oasis Dream, available to view.

Viewings are by appointment between 10am and 3pm, with a courtesy car available from Tattersalls.
