New stakes winner
for Dylan Thomas

DYLAN Thomas added a fourth stakes winner to his record on Saturday when Chutney Flight belied her 25/1 starting price to win the Listed Prix Madame Jean Couterie at Vichy.

The filly joins the ill-fated Furner's Green, who won the 2,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown earlier this year, and Listed winner Tannery as stakes scorers from the first Irish crop of Dylan Thomas. The multiple Group 1-winning son of Danehill is also the sire of South African Listed winner Dylan's Promise, a member of Dylan Thomas' first Australian crop.

Dylan Thomas stood the past season at Coolmore for €12,500.

Bred by P. Boiteau, Chutney Flight is from a family better known for its success over jumps. She is the best of three winners out of high-class hurdler Karly Flight, whose 13 wins included the Prix Renaud du Vivier 4yo Hurdle, Hipcover Gras Savoye P. La Barka Hurdle and Prix de Maisons-Laffitte Hurdle. The daughter of Mansonnien is a half-sister to another talented jumper in Sunday Flight, the dam of the high-class French pair Golden Flight and Sunny Flight.
