SALUDOS (7 g Bob Back - Katie's Cracker by Rambo Dancer)

Breeder: Miss E. Harrington

SALUDOS paid a handsome tribute to his sire Bob Back, whose death was announced earlier this week, when grinding out victory over Montan (by Trempolino) to take this event for the red hot Jessica Harrington team.

John O'Connor of Ballylinch Stud, who managed Italian Group 1 winner Bob Back throughout his stud career, described the stallion's death at the age of 30 at Burgage Stud last month as 'the end of an era'. The son of Roberto sired a number of high-class performers under both codes including St Leger winner Bob's Return and Group 3 scorer Big Bad Bob - now a promising young sire - on the Flat and the likes of Bacchanal, Back In Front, Burton Port and Cousin Vinny over jumps.

Saludos is the best of two winners out of Flat scorer Katie's Cracker. The daughter of Rambo Dancer - a son of Northern Dancer who spent several seasons in Britain before switching to South Africa - is a half-sister to 1991 County Handicap Hurdle third One For The Pot and out of 1982 Cesarewitch Handicap third Tea-Pot.

VOLER LA VEDETTE (7 m King's Theatre - Steel Grey Lady by Roselier)

Breeder: Mrs Margaret Brophy

Bob Back was later denied a Grade 2 Leopardstown double when his representative Rigour Back Bob found only Voler La Vedette too good in the Boyne Hurdle.

Ironically, the mare is by King's Theatre, who has spent his entire stud career at Bob Back's former base Ballylinch Stud. Like his former stud-mate, King's Theatre has compiled a good record under both codes, with King's Drama tasting Grade 1 success in the US and Cue Card and Menorah among those to represent the son of Sadler's Wells over jumps.

The 1994 King George winner currently fills top spot on the British and Irish jumps sires list.

Voler La Vedette is a half-sister tothe 2009 Bet365 Gold Cup winner Hennessy and out of a half-sister to Flat Listed winners  Bolino Star, Don Fayruz and Raise Your Heart.

QUITO DE LA ROQUE (7 g Saint Des Saints - Moody Cloud by Cyborg)

Breeder: Robert Mongin

THE reputation of Saint Des Saints has been firmly in the ascent since his first runners hit the track in 2007. The son of Cadoudal was in the news last month when Chablais and Quito De La Roque scored at Kempton and Naas, and then again on Sunday when the latter produced a commanding display to take the Ten Up Novice Chase.

Saint Des Saints, who is out of 1983 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches fourth Chamisene, was an Auteuil Grade 2 winner for Guillaume Macaire. He has been managed throughout his whole stud career by Haras d'Etreham - where he is standing for just €3,500 - and in addition to Chablais and Quito De La Roque, is the sire of Willie Mullins' highly regarded Quel Esprit and Me Voici, winner of the Coral Future Champions Juvenile Novice Hurdle for Nick Williams in 2009.

Quito De La Roque is a half-brother to Kazal, a dual Grade 2-winning hurdler for Eoin Griffin in 2007, and out of Moody Cloud, who was second in the Prix Jean Stern at Auteuil.

Moody Cloud has a two-year-old filly by High Chaparral.
