National Hunt stallion parade next Friday

THE Thoroughbred Breeders' Association will hold its annual National Hunt stallion parade at 11am before racing at Cheltenham next Friday.

Ten British-based stallions will be on show, including Sakhee, who is stopping en-route from Nunnery Stud to his new home of Yorton Farm in Shropshire.

The others are Alkaased, Arvico, Black Sam Bellamy, Brian Boru, Kutub, Malinas, Phoenix Reach, Prince Flori and Schiaparelli.

Henry Beeby and Stephen Hadley will be providing commentary, while the stallions' owners have donated one nomination to each horse to be sold in a silent auction.

The Elite National Hunt Mares Incentive Scheme for 2013 will also be launched. The initiative rewards owners of mares proven on the racecourse or at stud with discounted fees to British-based stallions supporting the scheme.
