Namid filly heads early Tatts trading at 70k

JOHN Oxx sent only two horses over to this sale but both attracted plenty of attention, led by the attractively-bred Redskin Dancer, a Namid sister to Group 3 winner Redstone Dancer. Not only is she also a half-sister to Listed winner Red Liason but also from the immediate family of Rainbow Quest.

Spanish-English bloodstock operation, James Ortega Bloodstock, snapped up the three-year-old for 70,000gns through Martin Percival's Boyce Bloodstock.

"She is a nice outcross," said winning bidder Jim Akinson. "She may be sent her back into training but ultimately she has been bought with an eye to the long term."

The second lot to go well was recent Leopardstown winner His Excellency, who sells for 65,000gns to Mags O'Toole. The son of King's Best is a half-brother to the talented dual-purpose horse Leg Spinner and out of Road Harbour, who must be one of the only daughters of 2,000 Guineas winner and Japanese-based sire Rodrigo de Triano in Europe.
