MY KINGDOM OF FIFE (6 g Kingmambo - Fairy Godmother by Fairy King)

Breeder: The Queen

MY KINGDOM Of Fife, who raced as Kingdom Of Fife when successful in the 2009 Zetland Gold Cup for Sir Michael Stoute, proved that his 150/1 victory in the Doncaster Mile Prelude at Randwick two weeks ago was no fluke when he followed up at the same track on Saturday with a three-quarter length win over Sacred Choice (by Choisir) in the aptly named Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

It was the gelding's second win from as many Australian starts for trainer Chris Waller, who purchased him through Kern/Lillingston for 60,000gns at last year's Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale.

In all, it was a good afternoon for Waller-trained Tattersalls graduates since he also sent out Stand To Gain to win the Group 1 Schweppes Sydney Cup. The five-year-old son of Hawk Wing was bred by Millsec Ltd out of Plum Fairy and cost Waller 105,000gns at the 2009 Autumn Horses in Training Sale.

My Kingdom Of Fire becomes the 22nd Group/Grade 1 winner by Kingmambo. The recently retired son of Mr Prosector has also been represented in Australia by Caulfield Cup winner Tawqeet.

While Saturday's winner is the first Group/Grade 1 winner by Kingmambo out of a Fairy King mare, the stallion has produced six when crossed with Fairy King's brother, Sadler's Wells, including Divine Proportions and Workforce.

My Kingdom Of Fife hails from one of the Queen's most famous families. Outof the Listed winner Fairy Godmother, he is a half-brother to the Group 3-placed Four Winds (by Red Ransom) and grandson of Ribblesdale Stakes runner-up Highbrow, also the dam of Group 2 winner Blueprint and granddam of a leading stayer in Ask and exciting sprinter in Astrophysical Jet.

His third dam is the royal 1,000 Guineas winner Highclere, whose daughter, Height Of Fashion, found enduring fame as the dam of Nashwan, Unfuwain and Nayef. Another daughter, Burghclere, is the granddam of Japanese superstar Deep Impact.

Fairy Godmother has a two-year-old filly by Oasis Dream named Dawn Glory.
