Osarus catalogue 51 horses to first breeze-up
FLEDGLING French sales company Osarus will venture into new territory next month when they stage their first breeze-up at La Teste de Buch near Bordeaux on Saturday April 10.
It will be the fourth ever sale staged by the auction house, which was launched in June 2008 by Guy Blasco, Nadja Govaert and Frederique Lingua as an option for breeders based in the south west of France.
A total of 51 two-year-olds, all of whom are eligible for French premiums, have been catalogued to the sale. All will breeze at La Teste de Buch racecourse from 10am onwards on April 10. Selling commences at 3pm the same day.
Several high-profile sires are represented including Chichicastenango, Muhtathir and Whipper while there are also a number of sires with their first crops on show led by Carlotamix, Hurricane Cat and Layman.
Among the most notable lots on paper is a half-brother to last season's Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy winner Lucky Like, by Timboroa, and a half-brother to Listed winner Alaska Warrior, by Apsis.
