Dansili's dream Irish stakes race run continues

THREE stakes races, three runners, three winners. That's the extraordinary achievement of Juddmonte sire Dansili in Ireland over the past two days.

The treble kicked off on Wednesday when Dansili's three-year-old daughter Bewitched won the Listed ITBA & Gain Horse Fees Support Local Racetracks EBF Sweet Mimosa Stakes at Naas.

Charles O'Brien-trained Bewitched was bred in Ireland by Monsieur J. Coude out of the Kaldoun mare Abbatiale, runner-up in the Prix de Diane. She was purchased for €160,000at the Arqana August yearling sale.

Zoffany brought up the middle leg of the treble on Thursday when continuing his ascent to the top of the juvenile ranks with a comfortable win in the Group 3 Korean Racing Authority Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown.

Bred by Epona Bloodstock and a 220,000gns purchase from Book 1 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale, Zoffany is out of the dual 7f winner Tyranny, who was unplaced in three attempts in Listed company.

The fourth foal produced by Tyranny, Zoffany is the first winner the mare has produced.

Her dam, Dust Dancer, won the Group 3 Prix de la Nonette at Deauville over 1m2f and produced Spotlight, a Listed winner over a mile at Newmarket as a juvenile and a Grade 2 winner in the US at three.

Dust Dancer is also a half-sister to Bulaxie, who won the Fred Darling, Lupe and Oh So Sharp Stakes, and produced useful middle-distance filly Claxon, herself dam of another smart middle-distance filly in Cassydora.

Tyros Stakes runner-up High Ruler, by Mr Greeley and out of Oaks winner Lady Carla, made it a one-two for Aidan O'Brien.

Famous Name completed the treble for Dansili by stretching his unbeaten record as a five-year-old this season to three races with a smooth success over Steinbeck in the Group 3 Jockey Club of Turkey Meld Stakes also at Leopardstown.

Famous Name is a Juddmonte homebred out of the Quest For Fame mare Fame At Last.

The horse has a remarkably consistent profile, having finished out of the first three only once from 18 starts. He has now won nine races, including five Group 3s, and he has finished second in Group 1 company on three occasions.

Dansili, a son of Danehill and Juddmonte's exceptional broodmare Hasili, stands at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket. His fee this year was £65,000.
