Mission accomplished for Moyglare filly

MOYGLARE Stud Farm have another homebred to look forward to in Primadona, who ran away with her debut at Suffolk Downs in the US on Monday.

Primadona was always prominent in the 1m 1/2f event on turf and drew away to win by four-and-a-half lengths.

Although trained for the operation in the US by Christophe Clement, Primadona owns European bloodlines as a daughter of Galileo and Grade 1 winner Dress To Thrill.

Primadona is the fourth foal and first winner out of Dress To Thrill, who was trained by Dermot Weld to win the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes and Group 2  Sun Chariot Stakes. The daughter of Danehill also has a two-year-old filly by Dalakhani named Supernovae and a yearling filly by Manduro.

Dress To Thrill is the best of 11 winners out of the 1988 Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Trusted Partner, a daughter of Moyglare Farm Stud foundation mare Talking Picture.
