Tattersalls to host Mountgrange dispersal

TATTERSALLS will play host to a 23-strong dispersal sale of Mountgrange Stud Ltd on May 1 when multiple Group 3 winner Blue Monday is set to go under the hammer.

The eight-year-old gelding had been one of ten horses entered by Roger Charlton's Beckhampton Stables on behalf of Martin Myers' troubled operation in Monday's Ascot April Sale. All have been withdrawn.

Myers, 66, has little choice but to sell most of his racing assets after his Mountgrange Capital, the property investment and development company he founded in partnership with Manish Chande, went into administration with John Reid and Carlton Siddle of Deloitte on March 24.

Five winners and six unraced two-year-olds are among the entries, which will be offered from the yards of Roger Charlton, John Hills, Jeremy Noseda and Jamie Osborne.
