ELECTRELANE (f Dubawi - Imperialistic by Imperial Ballet)

Bred by Bigwigs Bloodstock in Britain

DARLEY'S top sire Dubawi added a 26th Group winner to his record on Sunday when the British-bred Electrelane held on from Cherry Danon (by Rock Of Gibraltar) to take the German 1,000 Guineas.

The filly is the 11th stakes winner sired worldwide this year by Dubawi, whose 2012 haul includes Dubai World Cup hero Monterosso and impressive Jockey Club Cup winner Al Kazeem.

Bred on the same Dubawi-Sadler's wells cross as Monterosso and Fox Hunt, Electrelane is one of three winners from as many runners out of the Listed-placed Imperialistic. The daughter of Imperial Ballet is also the dam of the Listed-placed Imperialistic Diva, who won a turf allowance at Hollywood Park on Thursday.

Imperialistic is a half-sister to two classy jumpers in Undeniable and Thunder Road and from the further family of Listed winner Murheb. She was purchased for 46,000gns by the National Stud at the 2010 Tattersalls December Sale and has a yearling filly by Pastoral Pursuits.

Electrelane was purchased for 35,000gns by Steve Parkin at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale.
