Motivator back at work for £8,000 fee next year

ROYAL STUDS resident Motivator, sidelined from the breeding shed this season due to a hind leg tendon injury suffered in the autumn of 2009, will resume covering duties next year.

The eight-year-old son of Montjeu will stand at a fee of £8,000, down from his last advertised fee of £10,000 in 2009.

Though Motivator had a blank year in 2010, he should not lack representation on theracecourse and in the sale ring in the immediate future, having covered 130 mares in 2008 and 120 in the following year.

Motivator's oldest progeny are three and he is the sire of 11 stakes performers in 2010, headed by Listed scorer and Prix du Jockey Club sixth Lumineux, and last year's May Hill Stakes winner Pollenator, who was Listed-placed in May.
