Derby winner Pour Moi arrives at Coolmore

POUR MOI, this year's Epsom Derby (G1) winner whose career was cut brutally short after over-reaching on the gallops, has arrived at Coolmore Stud, Ireland ahead of his new stud career.

The Montjeu colt, trained by Andre Fabre, ran just five times and, after two runs as a juvenile which included one victory, he finished second in the Prix la Force (G3), won the Prix Greffulhe (G1) and then enjoyed Derby success under 19-year-old jockey, Mickael Barzalona.

Coolmore's manager Harry King said: “Pour Moi is all class and quality – no doubt the best-looking stallion prospect to come to Coolmore since Galileo.”

He will stand alongside his own sire Montjeu, second-season sire and fellow son of Montjeu, Hurricane Run, fellow new sire Canford Cliffs, also retired this summer afterinjury and already ensconsed at the Tipperary stud, as well as the world's leading stallion, Galileo.
