Mohedian Lady (Hurricane Run) wins the Listed race at Newmarket today



Listed-winning filly
for Hurricane Run

SECOND-SEASON sire Hurricane Run got a new Listed-winning filly today with Mohedian Lady's success in the Princess Royal Hambro EBF Stakes at Newmarket.

The filly is a third foal and a half-sister to the Winter Hill Stakes (G3) winner Distant Memories (Falbrav), while her dam Amathia was a Listed winner in France. She is a half-sister to the UAE 2,000 Guineas winner Stagelight, to the 1m4f Group 2 winner Ivan Luis and to 1,000 Guineas third Hathrah.

Mohedian Lady was bought by Kern Lillingston Bloodstock for 240,000gns at the Tattersalls October Sale. She was bred and sold by Kildaragh Stud.

Hurricane Run, a son of Montjeu, has had four Group race winners and now two Listed winners. He has 16 lots catalogued at Goffs next week and 11 at Tattersalls. his fee for 2011 was €15,000, while his yearling average last autumn was 33,000gns.
