Empire Maker to
remain at $100,000
EMPIRE MAKER will stand his sixth consecutive season at stud next year at $100,000. The Juddmonte Farms resident, whose deceased half-brother Chester House was represented by two Breeders' Cup winners last month in Ventura and Muhannak, is the sire of six stakes winners from two crops of racing age including Grade 1 Alcibiades Stakes heroine CountryStar.
Juddmonte's Kentucky arm has also raised Mizzen Mast's fee to $25,000 from $20,000 following a season which yielded Grade 1 winner Mast Track.
Aptitude's fee has been lowered from $20,000 to $10,000.
As previously announced, Grade 1 Forego Handicap winner First Defence, who is out of a Grade 1-winning half-sister to Empire Maker, will enter stud at $20,000
