Monsieur Bond gets fee increase for next year

BREAKTHROUGH sire Monsieur Bond has had his 2012 fee increased from £3,000 to £5,000.

Monsieur Bond has taken many by surprise by producing a raft of high-class runners, including last season's Prix de l'Abbaye winner Gilt Edge Girl and Prix La Rochette scorer My Name Is Bond.

This year the stallion has maintained his strong run with Hoof It rising through the sprint ranks, winning the Stewards' Cup off top weight before a close third in the Haydock Sprint Cup, and Ladies Are Forever winning the Group 3 Summer Stakes.

Monsieur Bond stands at Norton Grove Stud in North Yorkshire alongside another Reg Bond-owned son of Danehill Dancer, Misu Bond.

The fee for Misu Bond, whose first-crop of two-year-olds has produced three winners from nine runners, remains unchanged next year at £1,500.

Bond is offering an incentive, by giving breeders who send mares to Monsieur Bond a free cover for another mare by Misu Bond.
