Sir Reginald wins the Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Sprint at Newmarket

Million Sprint is won by 75,000gns Book 1 buy

SIR REGINALD, a 75,000gns purchase from Book 1 of the 2009 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, coveredhis purchase price when winning the Tattersalls Million 3-Y-O Sprint.

Bought by Robin O'Ryan and trained by Richard Fahey for Jim McGrath, the son of Compton Place is out of the Polish Patriot mare Clincher Club, whose other progeny  include the 2004 Racing Post Trophy third Henrik.

His third dam Merry Weather produced the top sprinter and sire Tina's Pet.

SirReginald was bred by Jerry Green and Sons and consigned at Tattersalls by a partnership from Bickmarsh Stud.

Earlier on the Newmarket card, Alex Scott Maiden winner Commended continued to fly the flag for a family developed by the son of Royal Applause's   part-owner Edward Kessly, who also bred the Listed-placed dam, Granted, her Listed-winning son Perfect Star (both in partnership with Heatherwold Stud) and his Rockfel-winning dam, Germane.
