Hearts Of Fire among Tatts Autumn entries

GROUP 1 winner Hearts Of Fire features among 1,582 horses catalogued for the Tattersalls Autumn horses in training sale held over four days from October 25 to 28.

The three-year-old son of Firebreak was bought for just £13,000 by his trainer Pat Eddery at the DBS St Leger yearling sale but outran his cheap price tag by winning four races at two – including the Brocklesby in the April and the Gran Criterium in Milan in the October.

He has yet to win this year, but has run creditably in defeat, including when a narrowly beaten and unlucky in running third behind Canford Cliffs in the St James’s Palace Stakes.

Another top-flight winner catalogued for the sale is this month’s Haydock Sprint Cup winner Markab.

Mill Reef Stakes winner Temple Meads, who could bid for Group 1 glory in Friday’s Middle Park Stakes, is also entered, alongside the Mill Reef runner-up, third and fourth Formosina, Crown Prosecutor and The Paddyman.

Other notable names in the catalogue include Solario Stakes third Surrey Star; €500,000 buy and Group 3 runner-up Lord High Admiral; multiple Listed winner Les Fazzani; last year’s Autumn Stakes winner Morana; Hungerford Stakes runner-up Cat Junior; Bunbury Cup winner St Moritz;and 2008 Prix Robert Papin winner Lui Rei.

This season’s 2,000 Guineas winner Makfi was famously bought for 26,000gns from the consignment of Shadwell Stud at this sale last year, and Shadwell this year has 65 horses catalogued.
