Grade 3 winner
Gaff retired to stud

GAFF, a Listed-winning two-year-old during his time with Dermot Weld, has been retired and will stand at Journeyman Stud in Florida next season. A fee will be set at a later date.

As well as landing the Listed El Gran Senor Stakes at Fairyhouse, Gaff also finished runner-up to Footstepsinthesand in the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes and third in the Group 3 Leopardstown 2,000 Guineas Trial.

The son of Maria's Mon blossomed into a high-class sprinter when transferred to the US, taking the Grade 3 Aegon Turf Sprint Stakes and the Grade 3 Mr Prospector Handicap, in which he set a newtrack record. He retires as the winner of eight starts and $569,513 in earnings.

Gaff is the highest-rated runner to date out of the winning Tunerup mare Ionlyhaveeyesforu, who is a sister to the multiple stakes winner Ifyoucouldseemenow.
