Petionville relocated to Margaux Farm

PETIONVILLE, sire of triple Grade 1 winner Island Fashion, has been relocated from Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington, Kentucky, to Margaux Farm near Midway in the same state.

The 17-year-old son of Seeking The Gold and half-brother to Kentucky Oaks winner Pike Place Dancer has sired 27 stakes winners to date.

Besides the filly Island Fashion, whose top-level wins came in the Alabama Stakes, the La Brea Stakes and the Santa Monica Handicap, his other Graded winners include Two Step Salsa, Publication and Runway Model.

"We are excited about Petionville joining our stallion roster," said Gary Hudson, sales and marketing director at Margaux Farm.

"We look for three things in stallions: pedigree, conformation and ability – and this stallion has all three. Given that and his proven ability to throw the big horse, he should be well received by our clients."

The stud fee for Petionville has been left unchangedfor this season, at $10,000.
