First winner for Leroidesanimaux

GRADE 1 winner Leroidesanimaux was represented by his first winner when Marfach obliged at the third time of asking in the 7f maiden at Roscommon on Monday evening.

Trainer Jim Bolger purchased the colt for €105,000 at last year's Goffs Million Sale. Bred by Richard Todd Beckettin Kentucky, Marfach is a half-brother to four winners including US champion and triple Grade 1 winner Gourmet Girl, and is out of the Grade 3-placed Welsh Pageant mare Rhondaling.

After running placed at Group 1 level as a two-year-old in Brazil, Leroidesanimaux was transferred to the US where he went on to become a leading turf performer. Among his eight wins were three at Grade/Group 1 level including the Atto Mile.

The son of Candy Stripes, who is from the samefamily as Dansili, retired to Stonewall Stallions in Kentucky as the winner of $1.6m in earnings. He stood the past season at $17,500.
