Maraahel: the son of Alzao was sold to stand in the West Indies

  PICTURE: Edward Whitaker

Maraahel first foals born

THE first foals by dual Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes winner Maraahel have been born in the West Indies.

The son of Alzao was sold last year to take up stud duties for the Stud Farm Association of Trinidad and Tobago in a deal brokered by agent Linda Sadler and Pierpont Scott, vice-chairman of the association.

Maraahel is the sire of foals out of Go With D Flow, a sister to Trinidad and Tobago triple crown winner Top Of The Class, and Little Sophia, a champion in Panama.

Also on the ground is a colt out of the British-bred winning Bachir mare Castanza.

Maraahel was syndicated into 20 shares offering two services per year, expected to cost TT$40,000 (£4,100, €4,700) each.
