Mansonnien gelding takes Fairyhouse Grade 2

Bred by Hubert Bruckmann in France, Mansony is one in a long line of classy jumpers by Mansonnien, a French Group 1-placed son of Tip Moss.

Among Mansonnien's other notable performers are the Grade 1-winning chaser Taranis, Willie Mullins' exciting young chaser J'y Vole and Millennium Royal, winner of the Grade 2 Grand Steeple-Chase D'Enghien for trainer Francois Doumen on his most recent start.

Mansony is one of two winners from eight foals out of Hairly, a winning two-year-old and later Listed-placed jumper by Air de Cour.

Hairly is also the dam of the dual jumps winner Lyphairy (Lyphard's Wish) and from the family of the Grade 3 Prix de Maisons-Laffitte Hurdle winner Cheler.

Mansony's placed half-sister Lady Secret (Lord Of Men) is the dam of lot 3, a yearling by Overbury, at next week's Doncaster January Sale.
