Majoris becomes the latest winner for Frankel

FRANKEL has a perfect record as a sire in Europe after son Majoris broke his maiden on his second start at Brighton on Tuesday.

The unbeaten dual world champion has fielded five winners from five runners on the continent - Cunco, Queen Kindly, Frankuus, Fair Eva and now Majoris - while he has Rise Eagle in Japan, who finished fifth on his debut at Chukyo on Saturday.

Two of those winners gained black type at Ascot - Queen Kindly when third in the Group 3 Albany Stakes and Cunco when he filled the same position in the Listed Chesham Stakes.

Majoris is trained by Hugo Palmer for owner-breeders Al Asayl Bloodstock, who bought the dam Drops for 750,000gns when she was in foal to Frankel at the 2013 Tattersalls December Mares Sale.

Drops, who finished third once in four starts for Aidan O'Brien, is a Kingmambo half-sister to Deauville Group 2 winner Alex My Boy and to this season's Listed Cheshire Oaks winner Somehow.

Drops is out of Alexandrova, the impressive winner of the Oaks, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks in 2006.
