Maisons-Laffitte: new winner for Lawman

PESTAGUA became the second winner for Lawman when landing the 6f conditions race at Maisons-Laffitte on Monday in the style of a smart filly by a length-and-a-half.

The Xavier Thomas-Demeaulte-trained filly was runner-up on her debut at Bordeaux le Bouscat last month. Bred in Ireland by M. Henochesberg and Mme P. Ades-Hazan, Pestagua is a half-sister to two winners including the Listed-placed Aseena and out of Pop Alliance, an unplaced daughter of Entrepreneur from the family of Group 2 winner Danaskaya.

She was a €37,000 purchase by Agence FIPS at the Arqana August Sale.

Dual Group 1 winner Lawman was represented by his first winnerlast month when the David Evans-trained Seven Year Itch won at Catterick. The son of Invincible Spirit stands at Ballylinch Stud in Ireland for €15,000.
