Grade 1 winner Macho Again sold to stud

MACHO Again, last season's Grade 1 Stephen Foster Handicap winner, has been retired to stand at Haras Gran Derby in Venezuela. Owner West Point Thoroughbreds finalised the deal to sell the five-year-old son of Macho Uno on Friday.

As well as last year's Stephen Foster Handicap,the Dallas Stewart-trained Macho Again was successful in the Grade 2 New Orleans Handicap and ran a close second to Rachel Alexandra in the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes and to Big Brown in the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes. He was last seen finishing tenth in the Stephen Foster Handicap in June.

Macho Again retires as the winner of six races and $1,825,767 in earnings.
