Sea The Stars: the outstanding champion's first crop are foals

  PICTURE: Caroline Norris

More Sea The Stars foals have names registered

TWO more members of the first crop of foals sired by oustanding 2009 world champion Sea The Stars have had names registered with Weatherbys.

The colt out of Magical Romance - the Cheveley Park Stakes winner who was bought by the Rothschild family for a broodmare record price of 4.6 million guineas in 2006 - has been named Tall Ship.

Magical Romance is by Barathea and Sea The Stars is by Cape Cross, so the colt foal will be bred on a similar cross to Superlative Stakes winner Hatta Fort, who is by Cape Cross and out of a Barathea mare.

Lordship Stud, meanwhile, has given the name Touch The Sky to the colt foal by Sea The Stars out of its Oaks heroine Love Divine.

Love Divine has already enjoyed success at stud with Sea The Stars' relatives: she produced St Leger hero Sixties Icon to Sea The Stars' half-brother Galileo and Jockey Club Stakes runner-up Native Ruler to Cape Cross.

Other Sea The Stars foals with names are the filly All At Sea (out of Albanova) and the colt Centre Star (out of Centreofattention).
