Dream Ahead: Ballylinch's new stallion will be its most expensive for 2012


New sire Dream Ahead tops Ballylinch tariff

BALLYLINCH STUD has released its fees for 2012 with prices for most of its young team of stallions largely unchanged for 2012.

The farm's newstallion acquisition Dream Ahead, the five-time Group 1 winner, will be the most expensive stallion standing at Ballylinch next spring - as previously announced his fee will be €17,500

Lawman (Invincible Spirit), whose first crop were runners this year and included the Group 3 winner Loi, and the dual French Classic winner Lope De Vega (Shamardal), who has had one year at stud, have both been left on  their 2011 fees of  €15,000. 

Lawman's yearling average this autumn was 38,054gns, with a top price of €125,000 given for a filly out of Spesialta. The sire had two lots this autumn make six-figure sums and 13 horses fetch over 50,000gns.

The Dewhurst Stakes (G1) winner Intense Focus (Giant's Causeway), now going into his third year at stud having retired at the end of his juvenile career, has been given a small decrease from €6,000 to €5,500. He has a number of first-crop foals catalogued at both the Goffs and the Tattersalls foal sales this month.

For the first time the farm's 27-year-old stallion Soviet Star has been listed as private. Hisfee for 2011 was €8,000.
