Plum Pretty half-sisters to sell at Fasig-Tipton

A TWO-YEAR-OLD half-sister to Friday's Kentucky Oaks heroine Plum Pretty is coming up for auction at Fasig-Tipton in America this month.

The first-crop daughter of Scat Daddy is hip 146 in Niall Brennan’s consignment to the Midlantic Two-year-olds in Training Sales at Timonium on May 23.

Ocala-based Brennan said: "When Plum Pretty won the Sunland Park Oaks in late March, we felt the timing would be right to take the half-sister to Timonium. The Kentucky Oaks was a huge bonus.

"This two-year-old filly has been coming along steadily, she’s breezed a couple of times to our liking and she’s ready for the under-tack show on May 18.”

Later this year at the 2011 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sales, Mark Reid will offer the yearling half-sister to Plum Pretty by Dixie Union through his Walnut Green agency.

Reid said. "Plum Pretty was not a precocious yearling and she did more of her developing in the winter and spring of her yearling and two-year-old year.

"This Dixie Union filly is gorgeous and, like Medaglia D’Oro, she is by a sire well-respected for his fillies.  As a half-sister now to a grade 1 winner, we are very excited about showing her off at Saratoga."

Bred by Silent Indy Stables and LLC & DDS Stables, Plum Pretty is by Medaglia D'Oro and out of the A.P. Indy mare Liszy.
