Stardom Bound wins at the Breeders Cup

Multiple Grade 1 winner Stardom Bound was sold by Legacy Bloodstock

Partners in Kentucky agency Legacy to split

KENTUCKY-BASED bloodstock agency Legacy Bloodstock has announced that its partners Mark Toothaker and Tommy Eastham are dissolving their partnership.

Toothaker will take full ownership of Legacy Bloodstock, while Eastham is to form EastWynd Sales Agency, which will also be based in Lexington.

Legacy Bloodstock was founded by Eastham in 2004 with Toothaker becoming a partner in 2007. Legacy will continue to be a sales consignment agency in conjunction with consultant Hal Wiggins. EastWynd Sales will also focus on selling horses, both privately and at auction.

Among the horses sold by Legacy Bloodstock are champion Stardom Bound and fellow Grade 1 winner Life At Ten.

Toothaker commented: "It wasa fun ride from the start, and Tommy and I were fortunate to sell some tremendous horses. Over the last two years, we've averaged 40 stakes horses a year in our consignments, so our partnership has formed a very firm foundation for the Legacy brand."

Eastham added: "I have enjoyed my partnership with Mark and the decision to leave Legacy has been a difficult one for me. Marketing is what I'm best at and that will continue to be my focus. Mark and I will continue to serve ourcurrent clients, and we will always support each other's endeavors."
