Latest Darley Flying
Start trainees announced

THE latest intake of Darley Flying Start trainees have been announced. A group of 12 individuals from six different countries, including the UK and Ireland, have been accepted for the two-year training programme, which offers a unique opportunity to work at some of the premier establishments around the world.

Since its formation in 2003, graduates have gone on to work with the likes of Taylor Made Farm, Todd Pletcher, Gai Waterhouse, Juddmonte and Godolphin.

Clodagh Kavanagh, course manager, said: "Our network of graduates and industry support continues to grow and in aiming to fulfill Sheikh Mohammed's vision we have been very fortunate to attract another excellent group of trainees for 2010."

The latest intake of trainees are Kate Benner (USA), Adrian Bott (Australia), Leah Clark (USA), Michael Hardy (Northern Ireland), Nicholas Hay (Australia), Barry Lynch (Ireland), Michael Morrison (Australia), Matthew Prior (UK), Kelsey Riley (Canada), Lindsay Schultz (USA), Brianne Sharp (USA) and James Trotter (South Africa).

Training will commence at Kildangan Stud in Ireland on August 16.
