LADY JANE DIGBY (5 m Oasis Dream - Scandalette by Niniski) Breeder: Miss K. Rausing

LADY Jane Digby maintained the brilliant run for Oasis Dream at Warwick on Monday when becoming the 11th stakes winner of 2010 for the Juddmonte stallion in this Listed event.

Oasis Dream was a brilliant sprinter butone of his greatest assets at stud has been his ability to sire horses who excel over a wide range of distances. Lady Jane Digby is another example - the five-year-old is the stallion's second stakes winner over 1m3f or further following last year's Great Voltigeur Stakes hero Monitor Closely.

The five-year-old most likely owes her ability to stay 1m3f to the Irish St Leger winner Niniski, who even today remains extremely influential in the success of Lanwades Stud as the sire of resident stallion Hernando.

Lady Jane Digby is the second stakes winner out of Scandalette following the popular Group 3-winning miler Gateman, a son of another July Cup-winning Green Desert stallion in the short-lived Owington.

Scandalette, who is an unraced half-sister to July Cup winner Polish Patriot, is also the dam of the Listed-placed Surprise Encounter (by Cadeaux Genereux) and granddam of the smart 5f two-year-old Ooh Aah Camera (by Danehill Dancer)
