Group 3 win for December sales entry

LA BOUM added a notable update to her record on Tuesday when taking the Group 3 Prix Fille de l'Air at Toulouse by a length from Rainbow Dancing.

The win was particularly timely as the German-bred daughter of Monsun is scheduled to sell as lot 1893 at the upcoming Tattersalls December Sale.

The Prix Fille de l'Air was the second Group 3 success for La Boum, who won the Prix de Flore at Saint-Cloud last season.

One of four winners out of the Listed-placed In The Wings mare La Bouche, La Boum is a great-granddaughter of the influential German mare Leticia, a Group 2 winner whose tribe will also be represented at Tattersalls by another Monsun mare in Litalia (2049).

La Boum is the latest high-profile name to be bred on the Monsun - Sadler's Wells cross following Group 3 winner Karavel and the Group 1-winning siblings Samum, Sacarina and Schiaparelli.

La Bouche has a yearling filly by War Blade, already named Love And War, and a colt foal by Samum.
