Action This Day on the move to Pennsylvania

CHAMPION US juvenile Action This Day has been transferred to stand at Dana Point Farm in Pennsylvania for the 2010 breeding season.

The son of Kris S landed the Breeders' Cup Juvenile in 2003 for trainer Richard Mandella and began his stud career at Castleton Lyons in Kentucky in 2005.

Action This Day's best progeny from two crops of racing age are stakes performer Night Action and the John Ryan-trained handicapper Kaolak, who has an official rating of 92.

Castleton Lyons president Shane Ryan said: "We are delighted that Action This Day is relocating to Dana Point for 2010.

"The team at Dana Point led by owner Gayle Gerth and general manager Maria Vorhauer have built up a very professional and efficient stallion operation and we have absolute confidence in their ability to succeed with quality horses like Action This Day, Sir Shackleton and Wiseman’s Ferry.

"The Pennsylvania breeders' Program provides tremendous opportunities for farms and breeders in that state and Dana Point's roster of stallions is well equipped to capitalise on this."

Action This Day will stand the 2010 season at a fee of $3,500, with deals available for multiple bookings of mares and Pennsylvania breeders and owners.
