Daughter of Blue Siren scores at Lingfield

KING'S Siren, the sixth foal out of the 1994 disqualified Nunthorpe Stakes heroine Blue Siren, made it third time lucky at Lingfield on Thursday when striking in the opening 7f maiden.

The daughter of King's Best held off Lujain's Dubai Destination half-sister Silk Trail to score by half a length.

Owned by Jeff Smith and bred at his Littleton Stud near Winchester, King's Siren is a half-sister to two stakes performers by Cadeaux Genereux in the Listed St Hugh's Stakes winner Speed Cop and the Listed-placed Siren's Gift.

Blue Siren retired to Smith's broodmare band as the winner of four races headed by the Listed Oak Tree Stakes. She was demoted from first place in the Nunthorpe after impeding the run of second home, Piccolo, inan effort to find racing room.

The 17-year-old daughter of Bluebird has a yearling colt by Danehill Dancer.
