Group 3 winner Notable Guest dies in Brazil

NOTABLE Guest, who claimed the scalp of David Junior when winning the 2005 Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes, has died at stud in Brazil following a paddock accident.

The nine-year-old son of Kingmambo was about to serve his second season at Haras Piarassununga near San Pablo. He has 48 mares due to foal to him this year.

Sir Michael Stoute trained Notable Guest on behalf of Khalid Abdulla to win the Rose Of Lancaster Stakes and Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap. He was also placed three times at Grade 2 level in the US before selling to Equinox Inc for $115,000 in November 2007.

Notable Guest was bred by Juddmonte Farms out of the Listed winner Yenda, a Dancing Brave half-sister to Derby hero Quest For Fame.
