Plans for Ouija Board's first foal firmed up
THE first foal out of wonder mare Ouija Board, a colt by Kingmambo who is due to go into training with Ed Dunlop this autumn, has been named Voodoo Prince.
The yearling, who was born on February 9 last year, has been retained by Lord Derby and is currently boarding at Stanley House Stud in Newmarket.

Peter Stanley, brother of Lord Derby, said: "We have named the yearling Voodoo Prince and he will be going just down the road to La Grange Stables to join Ed Dunlop in three months time."
Ouija Boardretired in 2006 after a glittering career for Dunlop which included Group 1 victories in Oaks, Irish Oaks, Nassau Stakes, Hong Kong Vase, Prince Of Wales's Stakes and two renewals of the Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Turf.
The daughter of Cape Cross also has a colt foal by Monsun and is believed to be carrying a filly by Galileo.
"We are most excited that Ouija Board is currently carrying a filly, as the offspring will give us another string to our breeding operation," said Stanley. "She is a great mother and is doing really well."
Ed Dunlop, who is attending the sales in America, said: "I am greatly looking forward to training Voodoo Prince. He has been located pretty close to my new yard at Stanley House Stud which is just up the road, and he has been enjoying himself in the field.
"It is very exciting that Ouija Board's progeny is coming to me, and Voodoo Prince is certainly cleverly named, being by Kingmambo."
