Irish Listed performer Multazem sires first winner

THE former Dermot Weld-trained Multazem, a half-brother to Echo Of Light, got off the mark as a sire on Sunday at La Zarzuela in Spain when Krilin narrowly broke his maiden.

Owned and bred by La Cuadra Madronos, Krilin is out of Kantia, a daughter of Seattle Dancer.

Multazem won three times in the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum including his two-year-old debut at the Curragh. He was also Listed-placed three times, notably when a close second to Napper Tandy in the Diamond Stakes.

Bred by Kilcarn Stud, Multazem is out of Spirit Of Tara and a brother to Listed winner Akarem. His immediate family members include dual Classic winner Salsabil and successful sire Marju.

The son of Kingmambo stands at Torre Duero in Spain.
