Immortal Verse dam in foal to Fastnet Rock

SIDE OF PARADISE, the dam of Immortal Verse, who showed an electrifying turn of foot to slam the great Goldikova in Monday's Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois, is in foal to Fastnet Rock.

The 13-year-old daughter of Sadler's Wells has produced three winners from four runners for Kilfrush Stud, headed by Immortal Verse, a Pivotal filly who also won the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

She also has a filly foal by Holy Roman Emperor on the ground - her first offspring since Immortal Verse, after suffering an early abortion to Dubawi in 2009 and being barren to Pivotal last year.

Fastnet Rock, a Group 1-winning sprint son of Danehill, has shuttled from Australia to Coolmore's northern-hemisphere base in County Tipperary for the past two years after making a flying start to his stud career down under by producing four Group 1 winners: Irish Lights, Lone Rock, Rock Classic and Wanted. His European fee this year was €30,000.

Side Of Paradise is a daughter of Kilfrush Stud foundation mare Mill Princess, who found fame by producing 11 winners including top-class sprinter-miler Last Tycoon and Prix du Bois scorer The Perfect Life, as well as the dams of Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winners Valentine Waltz and Tie Black.

The Mill Princess family has been in fantastic form in 2011: as well as Immortal Verse, Valentine Waltz's daughter Dyna Waltz has been Grade 3-placed in America; Steele Tango, out of a half-sister to Valentine Waltz, was Group 2-placed at the Dubai Carnival; Glorious Sight, a great-granddaughter of Mill Princess, ran second in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches; and Fire Lily, out ofGlorious Sight's Group 2-winning half-sister Beauty Is Truth, won the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes.

Another of Mill Princess's descendants, two-year-old filly Rakasa, was a promising winner of a Glorious Goodwood maiden on her debut last month.
