Record 36th winner for leading young sire Iffraaj

IFFRAAJ earned recognition as the most successful first-season sire in history on Sunday when Dixlesio became the stallion's 36th individual winner in a 6f conditions race at Madrid in Spain.

The colt's neck success saw his sire surpass the first-season sire record of 35 individual winners set by Invincible Spirit in 2006.

Iffraaj sired by his first winner in May when Nasharra won a 5f maiden at Leicester. Since then, he has been represented by seven stakes runners led by the unbeaten Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner Wootton Bassett and Group 3 scorer Espirita.

The Group 2-winning son of Zafonic will stand the 2011 season at Kildangan Stud in Ireland for €15,000.
Bricklow Ltd bred Dixlesio out of Sabaah Elfull, a Kris granddaughter of Mrs Moss.
