Darley sire Manduro set to shuttle to Brazil

MANDURO, the world champion racehorse of 2007, is set to shuttle from his base at Kildangan Stud in County Kildare to stand in Brazil for the southern-hemisphere breeding season.

Four studs are involved in the lease on the nine-year-old son of Monsun – Stud Capitao, Stud Eternamente Rio, Coudelaria Jessica and Haras Regina.

Manduro - hailed by tainer Andre Fabre as "the best I have ever trained" - won the Prix d'Ispahan, Prince of Wales's Stakes and Pri Jacques le Marois by an aggregate of nine and a quarter lengths in the summer of 2007.

His first runners hit the track this year and he stands at a fee of €15,000.
