Kentucky stallion Whywhywhy to Korea

WHYWHYWHY, sire of the inaugural Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Nownownow, has been sold by Kentucky operation Gainesway to stand at the Jeju Stallion Station in South Korea.

The Grade 1-winning son of Mr Greeley started his stud career at Spendthrift Farm in Kentucky and wastransferred alongside his sire to stand at Gainesway in 2006. A successful first crop saw his fee hit $10,000 in 2008 but that was gradually reduced until it hit a low of $3,500 this season.

From five crops of racing age, Whywhywhy isthe sire of eight stakes winners led by Nownownow, who contested the 2008 Irish 2,000 Guineas, and Grade 3 winner Ikigai.
