Storm Tide makes splash by selling for $500,000

Storm Tide, who sold to R. S. Evans for $500,000, proved to be the biggest hit in the opening exchanges of day two of the Keeneland November Sale.

The 10-year-old Storm Cat mare is out of the grade 1-winning Carson City mare City Band. `

Storm Tide is the dam of Grade 3 winner American Lion (by Tiznow) andis carrying a full sibling to that runner. She was consigned by Anderson Farms, agent.

One hip earlier, Spring Season failed to meet her reserve when bidding stopped at $575,000. The five-year-old Dansili mare is a half-sister to multiple Gr  1 winner Midday.
Consigned by Denali Stud, Spring Season was offered in foal to Medaglia d’Oro.
