Osarus  issues catalogue for third yearling sale

BUDDING sales company Osarus has catalogued 119 yearlings - all French-bred - for its yearling sale at La Teste de Buch in south-west France on September 16.

It will be the third yearling auction held by Osarus since it was founded in June 2008 by Guy Blasco, Nadja Govaert and Frederique Lingua.

Last year's renewal suffered from the economic downturn, with a clearance rate of 60 per cent and turnover of €551,500. The average  fell by 19 per cent to €8,110 and the median declined by 16 per cent to €14,750.

Sires with progeny on offer include Azamour, Gold Away, Green Tune and Kheleyf as well as first-crop yearling sire Rail Link.

Also catalogued is a colt from the final crop of Kahyasi.

On paper, those with immediate appeal include Haras de la Hetraie's Gold Away colt out of a half-sister to the dam of this month's July Stakes winner Libranno, and Guy Benachour's Anabaa Blue filly from the brilliant German family of Lagunas, Lirung and Lord Of England.
