AFSARE (c Dubawi - Jumaireyah by Fairy King)

Breeder: Darley in GB

DUBAWI'S excellent season continued in style on Thursday when Afsare became the stallion's eighth individual first crop stakes winner in the Hampton Court Stakes.

That total includes the Group 1 performers Makfi, winner of the 2,000 Guineas, Anna Salai, who runs in tomorrow's Coronation Stakes, and the high-class Australasian runner Cellarmaster.

A half-brother to the Listed-placed Reem Three, Afsare is out of a winning half-sister to the tough Lost Soldier Three, a Listed winner for Afsare's connections during his peak. Jumaireyah's sister, Altaweelah, was Listed-placed and has since produced the smart filly Qasirah.

Afsare is a great-grandson of Prix de Diane heroine Dunette.
