DUBAWI'S excellent season continued in style on Thursday when Afsare became the stallion's eighth individual first crop stakes winner in the Hampton Court Stakes.

That total includes the Group 1 performers Makfi, winner of the 2,000 Guineas, Anna Salai, who runs in tomorrow's Coronation Stakes, and the high-class Australasian runner Cellarmaster.

A half-brother to the Listed-placed Reem Three, Afsare is out of a winning half-sister to the tough Lost Soldier Three, a Listed winner for Afsare's connections during his peak. Jumaireyah's sister, Altaweelah, was Listed-placed and has since produced the smart filly Qasirah.

Afsare is a great-grandson of Prix de Diane heroine Dunette.
