Juddmonte revises 2009 fees for its US stallions

JUDDMONTE Farms in Kentucky has become the latest American stallion operation to revise previously announced stud fees for 2009.

In recent weeks the fees for many of the leading US-based sires, including A.P. Indy, Mr Greeley, Distorted Humor, Unbridled's Song and Smart Strike, have been adjusted downards in reponse to the current global economic crisis.

Juddmonte's most expensive stallion in Kentucky, Empire Maker, has had his fee cut from $100,000 to $75,000, Mizzen Mast has had his fee reduced from $25,000 to $17,500 and First Defence, a new recruit to the stud in 2009, willstand at $17,500, not $20,000 as originally announced.

Only Aptitude's fee for next year remains the same as in the original fee listings. He will stand at $10,000.
