MANDURO notched up another first-crop winner on Tuesday when Jericho obliged in the 7f maiden at Wolverhampton. Jamie Osborne's three-year-old, who was making his first start since being gelded, is the ninth winner for his sire, who stands at Kildangan Stud for €10,000.
A €55,000 Goffs November foal purchase by Lynn Lodge Stud, Jericho was unsold at 48,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale and again for 20,000gns at last year's Tattersalls Craven Breeze-up Sale.
Jericho is a half-brother to four winners, including the talented sprinter Indian Haven, and out of the Listed-placed Jinsiyah, a daughter of Housebuster who is related to the Kentucky Derby-winning filly Winning Colors.
Multiple Group 1 winner Manduro made a striking impression with his first crop last season, with his representatives headed by the Criterium de Saint-Cloud hero Mandaean and Andrew Balding's Group 1-placed colt Bonfire.
